Edith Lynn Hornik-Beer who will be coming for the second time to Dorland from Steamboat Springs, Colorado has offered to give the course, THE ART OF WRITING TO HEAL via Zoom while here at Dorland. The course will explore how writing helps give meaning to life's unexpected trials, change our attitudes, how to make writing easy, and the choices of privacy.

Karen Post will present one of the sessions.  Karen, a private psychotherapist for the past 30 years in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, uses the tool of journaling as a method for insight and healing. Karen who has a degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University will talk about how our psychology makeup may influence our journaling.

Edith frequently has published from her journal in books, newspapers, and magazines namely The Sunday New York Times, Denver Post, Toronto Star, Elle Magazine, and Berlin Tagesblatt. Her books have been published by such companies as Simon & Schuster, and some republished by Open Road. Edith when applying for her second sojourn at Dorland said, “When I was here the last time the rustic surroundings, the peace and quiet, the sunshine with its promise of a spectacular sunset, the understanding staff, opened my inner doors to serious creativity.”
